Self-Love, 12x12 Open Edition Print
Art Print by Janet Meinke-Lau
Why You’ll Love It
This piece features a Jinnie Mae begonia, painted in soft watercolor with delicate contrast and a natural sense of movement. The patterned leaves bring visual interest, while the overall composition remains light and balanced.
Paired with a message centered on self-love and growth, the artwork feels both personal and expansive. It reflects the idea that care for ourselves naturally extends outward—quietly shaping how we show up for others.
About the Artist
Janet Meinke-Lau’s two passions are sketching and surfing. After studying finance in New York City and working in investment banking and urban and regional planning, she made a decisive shift—choosing to build a life centered around art and the ocean. She moved to Honolulu in 2016 and has never looked back.
She describes both surfing and painting as experiences of connection—moments where she feels fully present, inspired, and in flow. Her work draws from the natural beauty of Hawaiʻi: the colors of sunrise, the movement of water, the textures of trees, and the quiet encounters with marine life. Her style is light and expressive, balancing a sense of play with underlying structure.
