Craftsman Aaron Hammer, originally from Kansas City, has lived in Hawaiʻi for over 20 years and now resides on the Big Island with his family. An award-winning woodturner, he creates bowls and other works from locally felled (recycled) trees. His work reflects both physical craftsmanship and a thoughtful, process-driven approach, with pieces known for their substantial, grounded presence rooted in traditional Hawaiian style.
