Born and raised in Uruguay, Eduardo Bolioli studied at the prestigious School of Visual Arts in New York City. He spent his early career balancing his passions for art and surfing, spending much of his time surfing, and making a living from painting surfboards for world champion surfers (e.g. Sunny Garcia, Shaun Tomson, and Martin Potter), designing for world renowned surf brands (e.g. Quiksilver, Gotcha, and Billabong), and designing concert posters for famous musicians (e.g. Miles Davis, Aerosmith, and UB40). Eduardo’s art career has been quite diverse and has taken him all over the world. However, Hawaii has always held a special place in his heart, and eventually called him back to the Islands for good. With his roots now deeply planted in Hawaii, Eduardo’s creative energy is firmly focused on his artwork, and in particular, his paintings made with acrylics and Posca markers. His reach as an artist continues to expand beyond the Islands as he collaborates with major brands (e.g. Volcom and Guess) to share his art. Eduardo’s star is surely on the rise.
